random ramblings

Wednesday is my least favorite day of the week.. well at least for this semester.

School’s been a little crazy and Wednesdays are my busiest day..

This morning I woke up at 5.45am, shower, breakfast, .. and left home at 6.30AM to catch the 6.47AM express bus. The Park & Ride is pretty close to our house. Today I actually got there a little early and was able to catch an earlier bus, the 6.37 bus ! The bus has a wi-fi connection, so I logged in, read the news about the earthquake.. saw Lia online and pinged her about it.. but she was busy with her baby hehe so I didn’t get to talk much.
Got off the bus around 7.10 ? Walked to my business school building. I was the first one to walk in the classroom .. well of course since I was about 40 minutes early. If I had taken my regular 6.47 bus, I would have gotten to class around 7.40-7.45, just right for an 8AM class.

and so the lecture began..
8-9.30 was Financial Accounting
9.30-11 was Marketing
then we had a 1.5hr break. 
I had lunch with my study team.. Wednesday is our team
lunch day where we discuss our studying & homework plan for the coming week..

back in class at 12.30 till 2pm for Finance

Then another 1.5 hr break.. I used it to work on my Statistics homework.. only got 1 question (out of 10) done during the break…

then 3.30pm back inside the classroom for "Strategic Career Planning" class.. This was just a 1 credit pass/non-pass class, basically teaching us
resume writing, interviewing, communication skill, etc..   I gotta say that they have really good material for this class. This semester is actually the first time UT MBA offer and require this class because the demand for Career Counseling was so high last year that students anyway ended up spending 1-2 hour a week in the Career Services office.

Finally at 4.45pm.. officially done with class.. but I couldn’t go home yet..  I had RSVP’ed for a seminar..  the topic was "Meet and Greet Skills For Those Who Would Rather Not" hehe so I attended the session with a bunch of other "anti-socials" in the class.  Well I just thought the amount of networking events overwhelmed me. I could do Brief&Meet, Happy Hour, etc. once in a while.. but almost every night ?? It’s just not me.. But it’s very essential to an MBA program..   

Finally finally.. I caught the 7pm bus from campus. Arrived at home at 5 mins to 8pm ….
hungry .. and exhausted..

quick dinner & tv….. then back to my Statistics homework    still not quite done yet but I called it quit around midnight..  replied to some emails and here I am now at 1AM blogging about my Wednesday. 

Been awake for 19 hours.. I guess I better get to bed now
